12,000 Sq. Ft. Las Vegas Castle Lists on Lake Sahara for $4.2M

2928 Coast Line Court, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, 89117

From secret doors to gothic windows, Las Vegas’ iconic Rose Manor is everything you’d expect from a replica of an 1800s castle. Construction began in 1988 and was completed nearly four years later in 1991 at a cost of over $8,000,000. It was designed by architect Robert Symons, who has several replica castles in his portfolio including this one on Lake Tahoe. All of the elaborate wood carvings were designed in detail by Symons and executed by Bill Robinette, a master wood carver in Las Vegas. You’re first greeted by a 12-inch thick 700 pound gothic rose themed entry door, just one of the $1,500,000 worth of carved mahogany wood fixtures throughout the residence. There are over 144 windows of either stained or leaded glass, built by Mark Walton, with some having extremely elaborate beveled glass designs. One of the bookcases in the living room provides a secret access to the owner’s “dungeon” – a private office in the basement, while a stone bridge over the lap pool mimics a moat. The home sits on a 0.53 acre lot with frontage on Lake Sahara complete with private boat dock and a 16-foot electric boat. There are 6 bedrooms & 6 bathrooms throughout. The original owners lived in the castle until 2005. It is currently for sale by owner for $4,200,000.
