600 Chateau V Road, Evergreen, Colorado, United States, 80439

A brand new 21,000 square foot château inspired by Asheville, North Carolina’s famed Biltmore Estate has hit the market for $17.5-million in Evergreen, Colorado. It’s known as Chateau V and for the last nine years owners Randall and Cynthia Veselka have been creating what was to be their dream home. The couple told WSJ that they’ve decided to sell because they spend the majority of their time traveling and visiting family. At 21,000 square feet, Chateau V is a fraction of the size of the Biltmore Estate which spans 178,926 square feet, but is the largest residential undertaking in Evergreen, Colorado and if sold it will also be the most expensive. A community of craftsmen have worked closely with the homeowners and the architect to ensure that each piece of stone, stained and diamond cut glass, wrought iron and the 126 chandeliers were all individually created to suit the Castle’s design. The château isn’t quite finished yet, but when complete it will include five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms & laundry rooms, eight bathrooms, eight fireplaces, and a roof deck that Randall Veselka told WSJ he’d envisioned using to hit golf balls into the valley below. There are two spiral staircases each adorned with custom leaded glass windows of family crests, a children’s play room off the library accessed via a hidden door, and a dog shower adjacent to an outdoor dog run. The owner’s also intended on utilizing the 5,000 square foot basement for an indoor/outdoor pool, a home theatre, and expansive entertainment area. The château sits on about 35-acres with views of the surrounding mountains from nearly every room. The famed Biltmore Estate isn’t for sale but if you’re looking for something a little smaller with a similar exterior then you can call Chateau V home, it will cost you $17.5-million. It’s on the market with Sotheby’s International Realty
