Historic 20 Acre Sasco Point Estate in Fairfield, CT Reduced to $29.5M, Prev. $62M

1143-1155 Sasco Hill Road, Fairfield, Connecticut, United States, 06824

A historic waterfront estate on Connecticut’s Gold Coast has been reduced to $29,500,000. The sprawling property was previously on the market as much as $62,000,000 in 2013. Located directly on the Long Island Sound with 1,850 feet of water frontage, the estate hosts a collection of lovely historic buildings. There is a six bedroom Victorian gate house at the entrance, an exquisite 17,000 square foot Elizabethan Renaissance Manor, a carriage house with two bedroom staff apartment and six car garage, a Gothic Revival boat house with stone staircase leading to the beach and a post and beam recreational barn with two stables and five car garage. The mansion, designed by New York City architect Henry C. Pelton in 1923, includes 10 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The grounds also include a swimming pool and terrace, pool pavilion, gazebo and tennis court. It’s unknown what the future holds for this vast property, but much like the historic Pillsbury Mansion on Lake Minnetonka, the photos we see here date back to at least 2013. Annual taxes comes in around $575,000. It’s on the market for $29,500,000 Sotheby’s International Realty
