Inside Christian Grey’s ’50 Shades of Grey’ Vancouver Movie Mansion (PHOTOS)
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Vancouver’s own Casa Mia mansion played a role in the steamy flick ’50 Shades Of Grey’ which hit theatres this weekend. Vancouver Sun reports that the mansion was used as the Grey family mansion during a scene where Grey’s family sits down to a formal dinner. The historic mansion was built in 1932 for George Reifel, the businessman who opened the Commodore Ballroom, and most recently sold in 2011 for around $10 million. Currently Casa Mia offers 20,000 square feet on 1.5 acres with meticulously maintained gardens.
More recently the current owners have been trying to get an application to rezone the property to allow the construction of a large community care facility which would greatly alter the historic residence. As for the film this is just one of several Vancouver locations you’ll see!
