725 Breakneck Hill Road, Middlebury, Connecticut, United States

A sprawling 10,700 square foot 16-room Middlebury, CT mansion owned by motivational speaker Lawrence Janesky and wife Wendy was destroyed by fire on July 3, 2014.  The couple reportedly purchased the home in 2007 for $5.37 million, more recently the town appraised it at $2.95 million according to The Courant.  The Courant reports that all the occupants of the home escaped uninjured, they were also able to get their pets and vehicles out.  Firefighters had to bring in two dozen water tankers to tame the fire.  NBC Connecticut reported that the fire was caused by polyurethane foam insulation in the attic spontaneously combusting.  To view the complete set of photos by Ricky Kulmann please visit his website.
