Sold $100,000 Above Asking

This could be an obvious sign that the real estate market is starting to heat up in Vancouver, Canada.  Agent Marty Pospischil listed this 2,326 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom – very dated family home for $1.498 million.  Within three days, multiple offers materialized and the home was sold for nearly $100,000 above asking.  One of the major draws of the property is that it’s situated on a large plot of land spanning 33′ wide and 122′ deep on a desirable tree lined street in Point Grey.  The current home also offers views of the mountains from the second floor and the agent describes the lot as “Perfect for building.”  We’ll have to wait and see if the new owners plan to build their dream home on the lot or renovate and restore the current classic home.  When I think of a $1.5 million house, this is not what I picture.  Would you have boughten it?
