Spelling Manor Sells for $23.5-Million; To Be Demolished

594 South Mapleton Dr., Los Angeles, California, United States, 90024

One of the largest estate homes in Holmby Hills has sold for a record low $23.5 million after being privately shopped for several months.  The $23.5 million purchase was finalized early this week and the mystery buyer has plans to raze the entire 5-acre estate. The 56,000 square foot ‘Manor’ as it’s come to be known is the former dream home of the late TV producer Aaron Spelling and wife Candy.  Candy had listed the mansion in 2009 for $150 million before selling to 22 year old Petra Ecclestone in 2011 for $85 million. Shortly after purchasing the iconic estate Ecclestone gutted and modernized it and more recently had it quietly on the market.  The identity of the buyer is unconfirmed at this point but released documents refer to him as A. P. Fools.

Have a great April Fools Day ;)!
