Switzerland’s Historic 18th Century Eugensberg Castle Hits the Market

Switzerland

Built between c.1819 and c.1824, Switzerland’s landmark Eugensberg Castle is a magnificent residence for the Empire period enthusiast and connoisseur of art. The castle has remained mostly hidden from the public eye over the last few decades and now is available for purchase for an undisclosed amount. Set on an impressive 116 acre estate, the vast property includes an elegant avenue leading up to the castle, formal gardens, winding pathways, a lit tennis court, a generous 9,000 square foot swimming pool and two pavilions have been incorporated into the incline which can fully open out to the pool. The castle offers more than 18,600 square foot of space with a grand entrance hall, six drawing rooms, a large custom kitchen, imposing cloakroom and staff accommodation. There are fourteen bedrooms, six bathrooms and two large terraces to the south of the main building. The property also includes several outbuildings, including various workshops, storage facilities, garden sheds and the enchanting the Rose Lodge. Eugensberg Castle is on the market for an undisclosed amount with Ginesta.
