Victorian Mansions Made Entirely of LEGO

Constructed by Artist Mike Doyle

Lego genius/artist Mike Doyle has created three incredible Victorian mansions made up entirely of Lego.  His latest creation (above), titled ‘Victorian on Mud Heap, took approximately 600 hours to complete and used nearly 130,000 pieces of Lego.

Like all of his creations, no foreign materials such as wood, glue, or paint were used to create them.  This is the largest in his ‘Abandoned Houses’ collection measuring 5.5′ x 6′ x 3′.

Standing 5′ tall and 3′ wide, this was the second Victorian mansion in Artist Mikey Doyle’s ‘Abandoned Houses’ collection titledThree Story Victorian with Tree.  No foreign materials were used, not even glue, it’s purely made from Lego.  It took Mike about 450 hours to build using 50,000 – 60,000 black, white, dark and bluish gray, clear trans and black trans Lego bricks.  On Mike’s blog he says, “I had difficulty creating the burned out area coming from the mid floor’s window. Lego does not provide a good variety of grays to blend, so I ended up using some trans black tiles to help smooth out the difference.”  We’re eagerly awaiting to see what he comes up with next!  Be sure to check out Mike’s blog at mikedoylesnap.blogspot.ca.
