Set on 18.65 acres in the heart of Idaho’s Sun Valley, Bloom Ranch is an extraorindary modern barn-inspired compound on the market for $8.9 million. Designed by architect Frederick B. Fisher and built in 1997 for Los Angeles-based art collectors Jake and Ruth Bloom, the unique 16,258 square foot residence first hit the market in 2015 for $18 million. The Los Angeles Times reported in 2018 that the compound would be heading to auction with Elite Auctions with a starting price of $11 million. The property failed to sell. Architect Frederick B. Fisher told Mansion Global in 2018 that the house was built using 100-year-old reclaimed wood and that the property was intended to feel “almost like an indigenous farm or mill complex that was rehabilitated as a house.” The 16,000 square foot interiors include a large great room, commercial kitchen, pool, spa, elevator and an art studio. There are 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Bloom Ranch is on the market for $8.9 million with Nick Maricich of Windermere Real Estate. Photography and information found on agent’s listing.
