1939 Neoclassical Home Drastically Transformed in Full Remodel
United States
This center entry Neoclassical home, built in 1939, was a stunning piece of architectural history among equally impressive homes of the era. With its brick exterior, distinctive entryway adorned with intricate Neoclassical details, and tall windows, the home included a breakfast room, library and 5 remodeled bathrooms. After selling sometime in 2013, the unique entryway was removed entirely, the bricks painted black, intricate windows swapped for solid pane glass, and an off-center contemporary porch added. We’ve compiled a few shots showing what the home once looked like, what it became and what it turned into. Do you prefer the original or the remodel? Photography from Google Streetview.
