20 Photos Showing Pitt Meadows, B.C. Covered In Smoke
Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada
Two weeks ago we published an article with 50 photos showcasing small town life in Pitt Meadows, B.C. Since Sunday the entire Lower Mainland, including Pitt Meadows, has been dealing with extremely poor air quality due to the many wildfires burning across British Columbia. A thick layer of smoke rolled into the community early Sunday morning causing difficult breathing conditions, the presence of ash on objects, and the strong smell of smoke. Late Sunday night the Air Quality Health Index had reached 10+, which is considered very high risk. Residents have been warned to try and stay inside, however the smoke has created a very unique opportunity for photographers. We’ve captured 20 or so photos showing what Pitt Meadows, B.C. looks like with thick smoke above.
