Retired race-car driver Richard Berry is ready to unload his massive custom home set on 74.51 acres in Evergreen, Colorado for $20 million. According to Denver Business Journal, Berry purchased the land in 1998 for $895,000 and commissioned Boulder-based KGA Studio Architects to design the 25,000 square foot main house. The 57-year-old reportedly invested upwards of $30 million on the project, also constructing a 27,000 square foot car museum with car wash and its own 1 bed, 2 bath caretaker space. The main house comes outfitted with 7 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a spectacular 50,000 gallon indoor-outdoor pool with fibre-optic ceiling and a custom Star Trek-themed theatre. Berry told Denver Business Journal, “Our goal when we built this theatre was to literally build the cleanest, loudest, most incredible theatre on the planet. That was the goal from the get-go.” The theatre is modelled after Star Trek’s USS Enterprise and can reach up to 170 decibels. Over $2 million alone was spent on the theatre. Denver Business Journal also revealed, “While Berry once had 232 cars in his collection, he’s down to about 30 these days and said he’d be willing to negotiate the sale of cars with his property.” Additional features include an outdoor pool, wet bars, wine room, beauty salon, fountains and more! It’s on the market for $20 million with Sean Endsley of Sotheby’s International Realty.
