One of New Rochelle, New York’s landmark historic homes has sold for $19 million. Property records show the 2.85 acre estate selling in 2018 for $16 million. The sprawling 23,000 square foot mansion, known as All View, sits on a private peninsula in the gated Premium Point community with private beach, boat dock, sports court and newly refurbished 30′ x 60′ mosaic glass swimming pool. It was designed by architect Sidney Stratton in 1890 for Charles Oliver Iselin with grounds designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Oliver had a breakwater built in Echo Bay so that he could dock his fleet of yachts, including the Vigilant, Defender and Columbia, next to this home. The substantial footprint includes 13 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 9 fireplaces, 4 kitchens, formal dining & living rooms, a library and home theatre. Many of the original period details remain, such as hand plastered vaulted ceilings, diamond leaded gallery windows, a gilded central staircase and two-storey white marble columns.
