American Horror Story Mansion Sells for $3.2-Million

1120 Westchester Place, Los Angeles, California, United States

The historic mansion best known for its role as ‘Murder House’ in the hit FX series ‘American Horror Story’ has finally found a buyer for the greatly reduced price of $3.2-million.  Off the television screen it’s known as The Rosenheim Mansion and it was designed by Alfred F. Rosenheim in 1908 to serve as his own personal residence.  Rosenheim and his family lived in the mansion for 10 years until they sold it in 1918 to A.J. McQuatters who used it as a Winter residence.  It’s come on and off the market a record number of times ranging in price from $17-million to a more realistic $3.678-million before selling for just $3.2-million. The 10,440 square foot home features 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 6 original tile fireplaces, Tiffany stained glass windows & light fixtures, and a solarium.  Today Home reports that American Horror Story isn’t the only screen time this historic home has had, the mansion can be seen in Buffy the ‘Vampire Slayer’, ‘CSI Miami’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, and ‘Californication’. Oh and the home may or may not be haunted.
