With a $190 million asking price this sprawling estate in Greenwich, CT has become the most expensive listing in the United States. ¬†The listing says it was enjoyed by the noted Lauder Greenway family when they purchased it in 1904, and this is the first time it’s been listed since 1904. ¬†Spanning 50 acres with nearly a mile of waterfront, this expansive private compound includes a grass tennis court, 75′ pool with spa, a beach, greenhouses, a stone carriage house, cottage, walled gardens, two islands, and the palatial three storey main house. ¬†The mansion was built in 1896 and includes 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a grand wood-paneled entry, and solarium. ¬†The Daily Mail says you will likely need to make some¬†substantial¬†upgrades since the main kitchen is located in the basement and includes original ‘speaking tubes.’ ¬†The mansion is listed with David Ogilvy & Associates, to see the full listing click here.
