America’s Most Expensive Listing asks $190 Million
Greenwich, Connecticut, United States
With a $190 million asking price this sprawling estate in Greenwich, CT has become the most expensive listing in the United States. The listing says it was enjoyed by the noted Lauder Greenway family when they purchased it in 1904, and this is the first time it’s been listed since 1904. Spanning 50 acres with nearly a mile of waterfront, this expansive private compound includes a grass tennis court, 75′ pool with spa, a beach, greenhouses, a stone carriage house, cottage, walled gardens, two islands, and the palatial three storey main house. The mansion was built in 1896 and includes 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a grand wood-paneled entry, and solarium. The Daily Mail says you will likely need to make some substantial upgrades since the main kitchen is located in the basement and includes original ‘speaking tubes.’ The mansion is listed with David Ogilvy & Associates, to see the full listing click here.
