Before & After: Circa 1820 Greek Revival Remodelled Beyond Recognition

Have you ever seen a remodel so drastic that it made you question if it were real? This is one of those. Sadly, it is real. Currently on the market for a hair under $250,000, it is described as a “Greek Revival” built in 1820. Surely it is strange to call the after a “Greek Revival” and there is no way there is any 1820 remaining. What started as a charming rural home with a lovely brick chimney, front entry with portico, shuttered windows, and even a detached garage & other small outbuilding…ended as a minimalist version of itself with windows & doors completely removed, the chimney taken down, and finished in vinyl siding.
