Bob Bahre, founder of the New Hampshire International Speedway, and wife, Sandra, have sold their Lake Winnipesaukee home for $5.6 million. It’s one of the largest on the lake and has been sitting on the market since 2014. Originally offered as part of a much larger 16.56 acre estate with two spectacular homes totalling over 63,000 square feet of interior space, 142 & 144 Hopewell Road eventually listed separately. The adjacent 24,728 square foot mansion, built for their son Gary, was taken off the market in June 2019, it had been listed for $4.9 million. The pair had originally been listed for $49 million.

There are a total of 7 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms with amenities such as a charming tea house with lake views and a three-bay stone boat house all on beautifully maintained grounds. The Laconia Daily Sun reported that the Bahre family operated the track from 1990 until 2007 when Speedway Motorsports purchased the track and other Bahre race-related assets for $340 million. Since selling the track, the family no longer have ties to New Hampshire. Mansion Global reported that the family would regularly entertain at the property with celebrity guests including Steven Tyler, Reba McEntire, Diana Ross, Trace Adkins and Jeff Gordon.
