Brick Forest Hill Manor Sells for $8.6M, Torn Down for New Construction

120 Warren Road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

A sprawling three-storey brick manor in Toronto’s posh Forest Hill neighbourhood has been reduced to rubble after selling for $8,600,000 in May of 2017. It had been on the market for $8,995,000 for just 85 days before selling. Canadian real estate websites seem to keep information fairly tight when it comes to property history, but we do know that it had been completely gutted and renovated in 1997 by Joe Brennan and included a large entry hall with grand staircase, beautiful formal rooms and an updated gourmet kitchen. Property records also revealed that it had previously been on the market in November 2016 for as much as $9,450,000. Forest Hill is filled with lovely period home offering a range of styles and sizes but is also a popular neighbourhood for new construction. Many beautiful homes in Forest Hill have been demolished in favour of new construction. Google Streetview images as of May 2019 show a substantial residence currently under construction on the 100-foot x 173-foot lot.
