c.1919 Georgian Revival Renovated & Expanded by Smiros & Smiros Architects

Muttontown, New York, United States

We first found this gorgeous brick home while browsing Stokkers + Company’s project portfolio. The only information we could find was material released by Stokkers + Company and Smiros & Smiros Architects. The two firms meticulously renovated and expanded the 9,500 square foot residence while preserving the regal heritage of the classical Georgian architecture. What we know: The house was designed by James W. O’Connor and built in 1919 in Muttontown, New York. We’ve seen it referenced as the “Muttontown Estate” and “Linden Hall” but no further information could be found. Stokkers + Company’s project page shared, “Smiros Architects introduced modern amenities and a vast collection of architectural details were artistically employed throughout the home’s stately interior. The home was expanded to include a new garage and a beautiful post and beam great room with fine custom mill work, a massive stone fireplace and a double-height ceiling held up by gorgeous structural timbers.”
