Canada’s Most Expensive Penthouse Sells for $25 Million

The show stopping Penthouse at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim has sold for close to $25 million making it the most expensive condo sale in Canada according to CBC.  It was listed at $28.8 million.  The 6,434 square foot unit is spread over two stories of the building and features 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, walk out terraces, and private rooftop patios & gardens.  CBC also noted that the last time the penthouse sold was in 2010 for $17 million.  It’s rumoured that a wealthy family from Dubai may have purchased the penthouse, as well as at least one other unit in the building.  The new owner will also have to pay nearly $70,000/year in property taxes, and $51,000/year in maintenance costs.  The penthouse was listed by one of Vancouver’s leading agents Malcolm Hasman.
