Castello del Sol sells for $30 Million

A palatial private residence on the guard-gated La Gorce Island in Miami beach has sold for $30 million.  Set on a 1.62 acre lot the Mediterranean-styled dream home features nearly 17,000 square feet of space with 11 bedrooms, 14 full & 3 half bathrooms, a guest house, staff apartment, guard house, three teak docks, a lit tennis court, and a resort-styled lagoon swimming pool.  In addition to all of this the lot includes nearly 400′ of waterfront.  The seller purchased the estate for just $12,450,000 in March of 2001 according to the Miami Herald.  The property came on the market at $37 million before selling for $30 million.  It was listed with Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg of Coldwell Banker.  To see more pictures click here.
