Recently featured on the front cover of Elite 2010, this Estate is getting the publicity it needs. My first impressions of the front driveway and Exterior were wow what an amazing home. The use of stonework really made a point right off the bat, and the material of the driveway is incredible.
However upon entering the home I was less than impressed. With an Exterior like that I would expect a large grand entrance space! Instead what you get is a small entry hall with an even smaller staircase! Most new homes in subdivisions have identical staircases to this one. Thinking it might get a bit better you head forward to the Formal Family Room….but once again it’s very small!! Considering there is over 8,000 Sq. Ft. of living space I’d like to know where it is. The Kitchen is one of the areas of the home where you can tell money was spent, there are stone floors, Commercial Grade Appliances and marble countertops – but again does it not appear to be a little small or is it just me? The Bathrooms throughout are very impressive and I wouldn’t change a thing, I love the light coloured cabinetry mixed in with the light marbles and travertines. The Master Suite is a good size, it has a sitting area over by the window, but that weird alcove where the tv is sitting seems a little odd, I would put a plasma screen above the fireplace and fill that hole in with wood shelving.
The Basement is very large and open, however textured walls just aren’t my thing so that is a huge turn off. It’s cool it has a Wet Bar, Billards area, Wine Cellar and Music area as well. I honestly think the best things going for this house are the Exteriors, I would need to do a lot of re-modelling inside – so it makes me wonder…what is the asking price??
