Circa 1790 Haines Family Farm on 13+ Acres in Bedford Corners, New York

$4,950,000 | 1790 | 5,026 Sq. Ft. | 7 Beds | 5 Baths | 13.75 Acres

The original Haines Family Farm on nearly 14 acres is a remarkable country compound along a beautiful and historic Bedford road. Filled with character at every turn, the seven bedroom, five bath farmhouse is wonderfully authentic and well maintained. Expanded in the 1800s and then again in the 1930s, the public rooms are all nicely proportioned with higher ceilings, built in cabinetry, and seven wood-burning fireplaces. Handsome random-width and wide-plank oak, chestnut and pine floors preserve the integrity of the period. Deeply private, the land is simply beautiful-a magical oasis of open rolling lawns, established gardens and towering spruce, oak and hemlock trees. A stone path leads around the entire property, over a lovely skating pond and through a cascade of koi ponds. Accessories include a three bedroom guest house, large greenhouse, two bedroom caretaker apartment and swimming pool. A separate farm complex with four-stall barn is adjacent to series of fenced paddocks. Home to three generations of beloved two-legged and four-legged creatures, Haines Farm is now a once in a lifetime opportunity-ready for its next chapter. Not offered in nearly 40 years.
