After sitting on the market for a short time, a 32,000 square foot unfinished mansion on over 100 acres overlooking Table Rock Lake has found a new owner. Built by Texas Rangers Pitcher, Cole and wife Heidi, the couple have decided to pull the home from the market and generously gift it to Camp Barnabas, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides help for people with special needs and chronic illnesses. The unfinished mansion sits on approximately 104.7 acres with over 1,700-feet of shoreline access with a private dock on Table Rock Lake. With the exterior near completion, an unfinished interior serves as a blank canvas to put the finishing touches on. Upon completion, the home was to offer 10 bedrooms, 13 full bathrooms, 6 half baths and 4 separate living areas in nearly 32,000 square feet of space. The property also includes a finished guard house, a commercial playground and a detached garage. “There are tons of amazing charities in Southwest Missouri. Out of all of these, Barnabas really pulled on our heartstrings,” says Cole Hamels. “Seeing the faces, hearing the laughter, reading the stories of the kids they serve; there is truly nothing like it. Barnabas makes dreams come true, and we felt called to help them in a big way.” Camp Barnabas had said the gift was the largest donation in the history of the organization. The property had been on the market for close to $10,000,000.
