By now many of you have likely already subscribed to Disney’s new streaming service Disney+, according to CBC nearly 10 million users signed up on its first day of launch! The service premiered with original content, including a reimagining of the 1955 classic Lady and the Tramp, starring Tessa Thompson as the voice of Lady and Justin Theroux as the voice of Tramp. Voice work was well underway in July 2018 while live-action shots were filmed from September 10, 2018 through November 7, 2018 in Savannah, Georgia. The visuals are absolutely stunning! According to comments on a Facebook post by WJXT4, crews completely transformed the block to resemble what it would have looked like nearly a century ago. From gas lanterns and wrought iron fences, Disney went all out making the already charming neighbourhood authentic to the period. The interior was equally stunning but was likely built and filmed on a sound stage. Sand, Sun and Messy Buns shared a photo in late-2018 showing the home covered in fake snow with additions and blue screen for a computer generated third storey and roof. According to Realtor, 3,000 square foot home was built c.1905 with six bedrooms and five bathrooms on an 8,102 square foot lot. Have you subscribed to Disney+ yet?
