Celebrity comedian Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have sold their Beverly Hills residence for $47 million after owning it for just two years. Purchased from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine in 2019, the couple paid $42.5 million for the property and throughout their ownership have added signature touches of their own, according to Realtor.com. The completely private and gated ivy-covered residence features steel doors and windows that open to stunning gardens, outdoor living and dining rooms, lush rolling lawns, a resort-like pool, outdoor kitchen, wonderful sitting areas, patios, a fire pit and a beautiful sunken tennis court. Enter into a sun-drenched two-storey foyer with beautiful wide-planked reclaimed wood floors, to a 50-foot living room with a stone fireplace and white plaster walls, a large dining room with a bar and an intimate panelled library/office.
The home also offers a full gourmet kitchen and a separate chef’s kitchen which open to a family/media room, a professional screening room with a bar, gym and separate guest house. An incredible master suite, large walk-in closets, luxurious bathroom and beautiful ensuite guest rooms complete every amenity. Other luxurious amenities include state-of-the-art security, lighting and A/V throughout. Ellen and Portia are no strangers to the luxury real estate market and in November 2020 sold their beautiful Bali-inspired Montecito estate for $33 million. DeGeneres and de Rossi’s Beverly Hills home was on the market for $53.5 million with Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency.
