Empty 32,000 Sq. Ft. Mansion in Holladay, UT Reduced to $3.33M, Prev. $30M

5909 S Deerwood Farms Lane E, Holladay, Utah, United States, 84121

A substantial 32,463 square foot mansion in Holladay, Utah is looking for a buyer after sitting on the market for nearly a decade. The mansion was developed in 1998 by insurance executive and local philanthropist, Ronald Gunnell, who once had it on the market for $30,000,000. Twenty years after conception, a failed auction and no serious offers, the property has dropped to just $3,330,000 $3,700,000. It isn’t quite as vast as it once was either. Originally a 22 acre dream estate with uninterrupted views, a pond and expanses of flat grassy land, now a 4.9 acre property with a small subdivision encroaching out back. The house features five bedrooms, ten full and six half bathrooms, more than eleven miles of crown moulding, eighty tons of steel and a tucked away room with eighteen air conditioning units. There are two full kitchens, two butler’s pantries, nine fireplaces, formal living and dining rooms, a two-storey library and home theatre. The property had originally gone up for sale in 2005 for $29,000,000 and at the time, Ronald told Deseret News that he and his family were looking to downsize to something around 10,000 square feet. It’s currently on the market for $3,330,000 $3,700,000 with Realtypath South Valley
