The famed Pink Lady, a National Queen Anne Victorian icon, has sold in Eureka, California for $1.1 million. The mansion listed in June for nearly $1.3 million. Built in 1889, the 4,560 square foot mansion is currently being used as a private home, however, the property includes commercial zoning providing a multitude of future uses such as vacation rental, office or retail. The 0.30 acre property is located directly across the street from the famed Carson Mansion and enjoys unobstructed views of Humbolt Bay from the upper level turret. The grand front hall leads to two parlours and a formal dining room plus an elaborate staircase leading to the upper bedrooms. Intricate mouldings, woodwork, stained glass, decorative fireplaces, and pocket doors are original to the home while recent work includes upgrading the bathrooms. The property encompasses a quarter of a block of professionally landscaped yard and includes a detached finished carriage house that has been developed into two separate commercial spaces. Property records show the mansion last selling in 2005 for $1.25 million. The Pink Lady was on the market for $1.29 million with Jill Macdonald of Coldwell Banker.
