Inside a Parisian Estate in Sioux Falls by Murphy & Co. Design

Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States

With its elaborate plaster millwork, brass handrails, mantels imported from Europe and Versailles wood flooring – one may mistake this home for something you’d find in the French countryside. In reality, this 19 acre estate overlooks a golf course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and provides some of the best attention to detail you’ll find in the area. The homeowners commissioned architectural firm Murphy & Co. Design to come up with the design sometime in 2011-2012 with contractor’s H&R Construction and interior designer Bruce Kading Interior Design joining the project. A dream team combining skills, experience and quality, the result nothing short of spectacular. Stone wainscoting rests upon a versailles pattern wood floor in the formal entry while the living room features walls built of plaster panel moulds with inset paper and plaster cornices.

Additional rooms include a large dining room with a trio of ten foot high roman arched doors, a large gourmet kitchen, a hearth room and a master suite with a closet including an eleven foot island and domed ceiling. Mirrored doors and curved cabinetry enhance the grandeur. The home sits on a 19 acre property overlooking a golf course and features a thick forest and a cascading landscape with a brook and small waterfalls. There’s no doubt this is one of the most beautifully designed homes in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! We’ve included a series of construction photos below for those interested.
