Pierce Brosnan, Hollywood actor and former Bond star, is looking to get $100 million for his Thai-inspired beachfront mansion in Malibu. The 13,000 square foot oasis was designed by renowned Anderson/Collier Architects and built in 2000. The residence sits on 1.18 acres with 117-feet of beachfront and includes 5 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a saltwater pool, home theatre, gym, wine cellar and spectacular views of the ocean. Pierce and his wife Keely Shaye Brosnan purchased the land in 2000 for $5.1 million. According to listing details the home also features resort-style living, walls of glass, wide-plank teak floors, scissor-truss ceilings, a gourmet kitchen and a master-suite that offers views of the ocean. The Real Deal reported that homes that have sold in this price range are usually much bigger such as Petra Ecclestone’s 56,000 square foot Spelling Manor that sold for $120 million and Lachlan Murdoch’s $150 million 25,000 square foot Chartwell Estate. The article does state that Ron Meyer, former NBC executive, was able to sell his 14,500 square foot Malibu mansion for $100 million in August 2019. No matter what it sells for, we can’t wait to see who snags Bond’s, um, Brosnan’s estate! The home is currently on the market for $100 million with Chris Cortazzo of Compass.
