Inside Wadia Associates Georgian Country Estate in Greenwich, CT
Greenwich, Connecticut, United States
We’ve tracked down one of Wadia Associates older projects in Greenwich, Connecticut. The 19,000 square foot Georgian mansion was designed and built in 2001 by acclaimed architectural firm Wadia Associates for Michael Biondi and wife, Cynthia. Biondi, a prominent investment banker, passed away at the age of 50 in 2007, leaving the estate to his wife. The mansion made a brief appearance on the market in August of 2013 and sold, for a then record breaking $25,000,000 in just a matter of days. The couple originally purchased the 8.23 acre estate in 2000 for $7,700,000 before demolishing an existing home on the property. The home spans more than 18,000 square feet with twenty five rooms, including eight bedrooms, eleven full and two half bathrooms, eight fireplaces and interiors designed by Linda Ruderman. There is a large cupola over the home’s grand entry, an exceptional panelled den and luxurious masters quarters. Outdoor amenities include a full tennis court, 22 foot x 45 foot swimming pool with pool house and a large motor court. The property is just 11 minutes to downtown Greenwich.
