It’s been described as one of the most private and secure estates in Beverly Hills 90210, this expansive 38,000 square foot mansion was recently rebuilt and expanded on a 5 acre promontory. The unique property first listed in 2019 for $135 million and was recently reduced to $85 million. Prior to the total remodel, the then 22,163 square foot mansion had hit the market in 2015 for $37.5 million before dropping to $29.9 million and eventually selling in 2016 for $22 million. Built in 2000 in the style of a French château, the residence was stripped of its detail and replaced with modern architecture and design. The listing notes that there is approximately 48,000 square feet under roof with 38,000 square feet air conditioned. Features include a 5,000 square foot guest penthouse, caretaker house, two bedroom guardhouse and garage space for 10 vehicles and parking for 80. There is also an indoor sports complex with basketball court, pickle-ball, gym, boxing ring, sports lounge and bar with VIP glass gallery

The Daily Mail reported that the home was previously owned by Curtis Somoza, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in a $64 million Ponzi scheme. Somoza had started a major renovation on the home when the scandal broke, it was then sold to Jeoung Lee, who completed the French-style renovation in 2015. At the time, Hilton & Hyland said, “She did a lot of the cosmetic work: the beautiful moulding in the dining room, the antique mirroring in the grand entry.” Only a handful of images have been released of the newly modernized home, but we found a collection of before photos which can be seen below. The property is on the market for $85 million with Ginger Glass with Compass.
