LeBron James has just purchased his third Los Angeles county property and this one seems to be the most expensive! James negotiated a purchase price of $36.8 million, down from the initial $39 million asking price, according to The Real Deal. The Beverly Hills compound was formerly owned by soap opera creator, Lee Phillip Bell, co-creator of shows such as “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful”. Built in the 1930s, the Mediterranean-style residence was previously owned by “Charles Boyer, an Oscar-nominated leading man actor of that era who starred in a number of black-and-white classics, among them Conquest and Algiers,” according to Variety. Katharine Hepburn is also said to have occupied the residence during her career, as reported by Variety. Designed around a stunning courtyard and fountain, the 9,146 square foot mansion features four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, multiple entertaining areas and seven fireplaces. The property includes two detached guest houses complete with their own entries, screening room, pool house, a lighted tennis court and stunning panoramic views of downtown Los Angeles. LeBron also owns two other pricey estates in the Brentwood area that he purchased for $23 million and $21 million. The $36.8 million property was on the market with Hilton & Hyland Realty.
