NBA Superstar Michael Jordan Sells 56,000 Square Foot Mansion for $9.5 Million After 12 Years on the Market

Highland Park, Illinois, United States

It took a little over 12 years on the market and more than $19.5 million in price reductions, but former professional basketball Michael Jordan has finally found a buyer for his sprawling 56,000 square foot mansion in Highland Park, Illinois. The property closed on December 10 for $9.5 million. Built in the mid-1990s for Jordan, the 9 bedroom, 19 bathroom residence first hit the market in 2012 for $29 million and by 2015 had been reduced to $14.855 million where it remained until selling for $9.5 million. According to Mansion Global, the listing price was intentional, as the digits add up to 23, Jordan’s jersey number. As per the listing, the custom designed property includes a regulation-sized basketball gymnasium, circular infinity pool, putting green, tennis court, and cigar room, each with Jordan’s signature touch.
