Malibu, California, United States
Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have distanced themselves from the Royal Family, the pair have revealed possible plans to head south of the border and find a luxury rental to call home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been renting a waterfront château valued at $18 million in Sidney, British Columbia. It was also reported that the couple were looking at a 108-year-old waterfront mansion in Vancouver valued at $35 million. It seems the plans to find a home in Canada might be on the back-burner with Variety revealing that Harry and Meghan have been eyeing a Malibu property valued close to $20 million. It’s known as Petra Manor and comes with added privacy and security being hidden away in a guard-gated community. Variety also revealed that the home was built in 2015 by David Charvet and Brooke Burke, on land purchased from Mel Gibson, and was rented to Kylie Jenner for two weeks in 2018. The home includes 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a dance studio and outdoor amenities such as a pool and tennis court. It’s exclusively available for short-term rentals through the luxury villa rental company Stay Awhile Villas.
