Renovation Work Underway at Andreozzi Architecture’s First Commission | Rhode Island
Barrington, Rhode Island, United States
We first reported in September 2019 that Rhode Island firm Andreozzi Architecture would be returning to their very first commission for an extensive renovation. Here we are a little over three months later and work is well underway! The unique shingle style residence was designed in 1988 by the firm and has already seen a handful of changes since completion. You’ll notice the center and northern porches have been closed in to extend the main floor while a pair of dormers have been removed from the second floor. The firm recently released a collection of photos showing the work currently being done on the home. The entire main floor exterior has been stripped of its shingles, the interiors are down to studs in many rooms and a balcony and curved bay have been removed. Photos of the interiors are limited but we’re hoping the firm will release some great before and afters once the work is complete. Andreozzi Architecture posted about the project on Instagram, responding to a question on what will be done, “We will be tailoring the interior to the needs of the current owners and changing up the look of the exterior a bit, giving the home a new look for its next 30 years!” We’re very excited to see what the next chapter holds for this unique residence. Property records show the home extending more than 4,600 square feet with four bedrooms and six bathrooms on a 1.16 acre riverfront lot. The property last sold in August 2010 for $580,000.
