Russian Billionaire Buys $88 Million Penthouse for Daughter
It’s official, the buyer of ex-Citigroup CEO Sandy Weill’s penthouse at 15 Central Park West in NYC is Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev. Forbes reported that Rybolovlev paid the full $88 million asking price which excited Weill as she is donating proceeds from the sale to charity. Dmitry purchased the 6,744 square foot penthouse for his 22 year daughter Ekaterina Rybolovleva. Ekaterina is a student and currently studying at an unknown university in the United States. According to Forbes, the home was purchased for a place to stay “when visiting New York.” The price paid for the penthouse works out to about $13,000/square foot. It features four bedrooms, two wood burning fireplaces and a 2,000 square foot wrap around terrace.
