Stone Mansion Replica Under Construction in Mendham, NJ

480 Bernardsville Road, Mendham, New Jersey, United States

A brand new residence based on Alpine, New Jersey’s Stone Mansion is under construction in Mendham, New Jersey. The new residence is near identical, only reversed with subtle exterior differences. It was designed by architect James Paragano, the same architect who designed the Stone Mansion, and is being built by Longuri Construction. It sits on approximately 11.26 acres. The original Stone Mansion is about an hour away in a ritzy neighbourhood on 6 acres in Alpine. That property includes more than 30,000 square feet of space with 42 rooms, including a ballroom, and details such as gilded mouldings, Baccarat chandeliers and wood panelled rooms. Despite all the glitz and glam, it’s remained on the market for eight years. According to CNBC, it had made its debut in 2010 for $68,000,000. The latest list price was $39,900,000. Still no buyers. While Alpine is a wonderfully elite place to live, whoever is building this new residence, inspired by the Stone Mansion, would prefer to live in Mendham. Scroll down to see the similarities and a few aerial images of construction.
