The $100,000 Birdhouse You Need To See!

If you’re a lover of the garden and more specifically birds then you just might be pulling out your chequebook for this one-of-a-kind labour of love.  It’s called “The Fairy Treehouse” and it was created by Debbie Schramer and her husband over a period of 6 months.  The house is 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide with 14 rooms furnished with chairs, beds, tables, dishes, books, sculptures, and paintings – all made from nature!  The couple’s Etsy page says they used everything in nature you can imagine including driftwood, branches, vines, twigs, leaves, moss, stone, shells, seaweed, herbs, pods, and kelp.

This could be that jewel that your backyard is missing, and as a bonus you can tell your friends it was exhibited at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland in 1995 for an entire year and was chosen 4th favourite work of art out of 400 artworks!  Other features include an observatory at the very top, stairways throughout, hidden little rooms, balconies, garden rooms, and little ladders leading to overhanging rooms.  If you’re interested you better be ready to fork over $100,000 USD, and if you do the couple would be happy to hand deliver the house – if you live in the United States!  To see their Etsy page click here!
