Greenwich, Connecticut, United States
Award-winning designer Victoria Hagan collaborated with architect Oscar Shamamian of Ferguson & Shamamian to design this traditional Colonial Revival-style home in Greenwich for a family of five. The European couple were coming from a smaller, more casual home and were looking for something more formal. Oscar Shamamian told Veranda in 2014, “We wanted the house to look like it had always been there but it had to function as a very comfortable family home.” The light-filled interiors incorporate classical elements alongside soft blues and neutrals. Hagan also incorporate bold colours and patterns throughout the home with an elegant wallpaper in the dining room and a stunning turquoise butler’s pantry. There are comfortable formal and informal living rooms, a wonderful chef’s kitchen with center island and adjacent breakfast area, a handsome panelled study and a luxe master suite showcasing a bathroom with angled fireplace. The residence sits on a little over 3 acres and includes beautifully landscaped gardens, a walled pool area with pool house and detached guest house surrounded by gardens.
