Transitional Country Manor by Kemp Hall Studio in Atlanta, GA

Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta-based architect Steve Kemp of Kemp Hall Studio collaborated with interior designer Yvonne McFadden to create this picturesque transitional house in a suburb outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Kemp told Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle, “We all wanted a home that would convey the couple’s down-to-earth nature but still have a bit of a wow factor stylistically.” They succeeded in doing so. The entire interior was painted in Benjamin Moore’s Horizon to act as a backdrop to the homeowner’s art collection. It also brightens the spaces and allows the furnishings and materials to add colour. The main floor includes a gorgeous staircase that travels across a vast steel window, a vaulted living room with beamed ceiling and stone fireplace and a beautifully executed kitchen with floor-to-ceiling white oak cabinetry, wall planking and quartzite countertops. Warm wood tones and splashes of colour in draperies, built-ins and rugs can be found throughout. Architecture by Kemp Hall Studio. Interior design by Y. McFadden Interiors.
