An unfinished 33,000 square foot brick mansion overlooking Table Rock Lake has sold for an undisclosed amount in Branson West, Missouri. The property was last publicly listed in December 2020 for $2.95 million and as of February 5, 2021 is labelled as sold. It had previously been on the market in July 2020 for $5.6 million. Built in 2016 by American professional baseball pitcher Cole Hamels and wife, Heidi, the couple initially put the unfinished mansion on the market in 2017 for $9.75 million before deciding to generously gift it to Camp Barnabas, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides help for people with special needs and chronic illnesses. “There are tons of amazing charities in Southwest Missouri. Out of all of these, Barnabas really pulled on our heartstrings,” said Cole Hamels. “Seeing the faces, hearing the laughter, reading the stories of the kids they serve; there is truly nothing like it. Barnabas makes dreams come true, and we felt called to help them in a big way.” Camp Barnabas had said the gift was the largest donation in the history of the organization.
The most recent listing for the property stated, “Property was donated to Camp Barnabas & proceeds go to benefit the charity.” The unfinished mansion sits on approximately 104.7 acres with over 1,700-feet of shoreline access with a private dock on Table Rock Lake. With the exterior near completion, an unfinished interior serves as a blank canvas to put the finishing touches on. Quality & commercial-grade construction including steel framing, foam insulation & extensive wiring for security/AV. Sophisticated & custom details throughout including wood beams, barrel ceilings, wood casement windows & doors, copper guttering, & elevator shaft. The property also includes a finished two-bedroom guest annex with high-end finishes, separate RV/boat storage building with 3,600 square feet of finished living area and a private 3-stall boat dock with swim platform. It’s unknown who purchased the property and for what amount, if these details become public we update the post.
