Vanderhorn Architects-Designed Shingle Style Gets Starring Role in Netflix “The Watcher”
A fabulous shingle style residence designed by Greenwich-based Vanderhorn Architects is about to hit the small screen as the starring role in the new Netflix thriller series The Watcher. Created by Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan, “The series follows the true story of a married couple who, after moving into their dream home in New Jersey, are harassed through letters signed by a stalker named The Watcher.” Netflix dropped a creative real estate video with Jennifer Coolidge playing real estate agent ‘Karen Calhoun’, showing off the house in a comical way. The YouTube description describes the house: “Located in the highly desirable community of Westfield and originally built in 1921, this historic residence has been renovated to perfection! 4 BD/5 BA, a complete chef’s kitchen with a working dumbwaiter and a hot tub wood countertop, sunroom, two-car garage, and a stunning swimming pool and spa are just some of the wonders this house has to offer.” In reality, the 19-room, 10,166 square foot residence was designed by Vanderhorn Architects and built in 2016 with a total of 6 bedrooms & 7 bathrooms.
