Osterville, Massachusetts, United States
Boston-based architectural firm Catalano Architects designed this striking shingle style residence overlooking a bay in Osterville for a family wanting to bring three generations of family together. The expansive residence, built by EB Norris & Son, is sited on a bluff overlooking Barnstable’s West Bay and includes bright and welcoming interiors, designed by SLC Interiors, with nearly all of the rooms open to the view and connected by porch. Catalano Architects revealed, “The architecture is an adaptation of the shingle style with a nod to the regional vernacular, mixing in colonial revival detailing and elements.” Photography by Gordon Beall.
