Notting Hill, London, England
The Westbourne Grove Church in Notting Hill, London, England underwent a massive renovation and had its top two floors converted into a modern masterpiece by DOS Architects. The 4,300 square foot loft apartment is described as being a “marriage of old and new” and per the client’s request, the creation of an open space “combining their desire for cutting-edge technology with a love of clean, luxurious designs, while respecting the traditional Gothic details”, according to One Kindesign. Centered around a massive double-height bright open space, the new design complements the beauty of the church while retaining the Gothic elements. The ultra-modern glass staircase and glass-walled master bathroom complement the stunning Gothic arched windows and allow for the spaces to feel much more open and for light to hit every corner of the home.
