Montana, United States
Perched high above Whitefish Lake with fabulous views and privacy, this custom-designed rustic mansion was designed by Montana Creative architecture + design to serve as an executive and family retreat. The earliest aerial imagery we could find show the mansion under construction in 2003 and finished in 2009. The homeowners expanded the main house in 2011, adding on several thousand square feet and expanding the yard to include water features, outbuildings and gardens. Located near the main house are two ponds with docks and private access with covered bridge leading to a large summer house and dock with space for 3 boats and 4 Sea-Doos on Whitefish Lake. The stone and timber mansion includes custom lighting designed by Roc Corbett, an impressive entry with stone fireplace, formal dining room with built-in cabinetry, an indoor pool with views over Whitefish Lake and an impressive bunk room. Montana Creative architecture + design revealed, “The bunks were made with reclaimed fir from an ice house in Colorado. The wood was wire brushed lightly, and has no other treatment – other than the ladder treads and safety rails, which were sanded to a smoother finish and completed with a light satin lacquer.” Photography by Gibeon Photography.
