YouTuber Jeffree Star’s Barbie Dream House Sells for $3.4M in Calabasas

Controversial YouTuber and beauty mogul Jeffree Star has sold his customized pink Calabasas mansion for $3.4 million. Star purchased the 6,785 square foot home in 2016 for a little more than $3.6 million before spending a small fortune fine tuning the interiors to his taste. Shortly after purchasing a nearby 25,000 square foot mansion, Star put the Barbie house on the market for $3.6 million. Walls in varying shades of pink, custom drapes, a pair of pink chandeliers and an entire wall outfitted in pink crushed velvet are just some of the details. If pink is not your colour, don’t worry, all of these very specific design choices are easily reversible. Set behind the gates of Calabasas Park Estates, the private home showcases large scale rooms with a two-storey entrance, a large chef’s kitchen with two islands, a morning room and family room with wet bar. There are a total of 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. Star shot countless vlogs inside this very home, giving fans a glimpse of his custom bank-vault closet in 2019 and announcing in December 2019 that he had purchased a 25,000 square foot mansion on 2.82 acres in Hidden Hills for $14.6 million. Star revealed that he had outgrown the Barbie House and was ready for a change. 

In January, the beauty mogul published a tour of the upgraded mansion giving fans an inside look. Star started the video by stating, “I woke up this morning and I sobbed, I cried happy tears this morning because it has been such a crazy journey getting here and I think sometimes people only see the success or the rewards, but, on a real level, 6 years ago I had $500 to my name.” Star is the founder and owner of Jeffree Star Cosmetics, which according to Star generates more than $100 million annually. He collaborated with fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson on a Conspiracy Collection of makeup. According to the Daily Mail, the palette was expected to sell $17.5 million in in-store sales and an additional $17.5 million on Star’s website. The pair sold over 1.1 million palettes. Several websites suggest Star’s net worth is somewhere between $50 million to $200 million. The Barbie Dream House was on the market for $3.6 million with Marc Shevin of Berkshire Hathaway.
